Collaborative Pianist & Educator
Dr. Bogum Park is a distinguished collaborative pianist and educator with extensive international experience. A graduate of Sunhwa Arts Schools and Yonsei University in Korea, she earned her first Master of Music in Piano Performance at The University of Texas at Austin, followed by a second Master’s and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano, where she also served as a Teaching Assistant. She later completed a Professional Studies Certificate in Collaborative Piano at the Manhattan School of Music.
Dr. Park has performed throughout the United States, Korea, Japan, France, and Italy, and has been recognized with multiple awards in international competitions, including First Prize at the Sidney Wright Piano Accompanying Competition at The University of Texas at Austin, as well as honors from the Osaka International Competition and the Stefan Muller Competition. She has served as a Collaborative Pianist and Adjunct Faculty at institutions including Manhattan School of Music Pre-College, Winston-Salem State University, Wake Forest University, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Chapel Hill, Stanford University, San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College, and iSing Silicon Valley Choir.
Her recent recordings include Heil VI, VII, and X (with VI and X being world premieres) by composer Sunhee Cho, recorded in collaboration with her sister, violinist Hoigum Park. Currently, Dr. Park serves as Staff Collaborative Pianist for Strings at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance in Ann Arbor and Pianist at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Metro Detroit.
